1. Overview

Bulk Uploader HOB is an internal tool used by the House of Books team to create and manage our own advertising campaigns through the Meta Marketing API. It is not offered to the public, and it is only used by authorized members of the House of Books team on our own Meta ad accounts.

This policy applies only to Bulk Uploader HOB. It does not replace the House of Books store privacy policy, which covers our website and customer orders.

2. Information the tool accesses

When an authorized team member connects the tool to Meta and grants permission, the tool may access:

  • Ad account details for the House of Books ad accounts it has been given access to.
  • Campaigns, ad sets, ads, ad creatives and related settings.
  • Ad performance reports and insights.
  • Pages, Instagram accounts and other business assets, only as allowed by the Meta permissions granted.

The tool also processes product information, images and videos that our team supplies to it in order to build ads.

The tool does not collect information from people who see or interact with our ads, and it does not collect information from visitors to houseofbooks.pk.

3. How the information is used

We use this information only to:

  • Create, upload and manage House of Books ad campaigns, ad sets and ads.
  • Review the results of our own advertising.
  • Support the internal marketing work of House of Books.

We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to managing our own advertising.

4. Access tokens and security

The tool uses Meta access tokens and other integration credentials to authenticate its requests to Meta. These credentials are stored locally on the computer where the tool is installed, protected under the user's Windows account using the Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). They are not sent to any server operated by House of Books.

Access to that computer and to the tool is limited to authorized House of Books team members.

5. Sharing and retention

We do not intentionally share information accessed through the tool with unrelated third parties. When the tool communicates with Meta, that information is handled by Meta under Meta's own terms and policies.

Ads, campaigns and reports remain in the relevant Meta ad account until they are deleted there. Credentials and local files remain on the computer where the tool is installed until they are removed by the user or the tool is uninstalled.

6. Data deletion and requests

To remove the tool's access, you can revoke it at any time from your Facebook or Meta Business settings. You can also uninstall the tool, which removes its locally stored credentials from that computer.
